If it were the case that we kept feeling great at our spiritual efforts of a certain level, we would become complacent with our efforts. The “good” must soon become “not good enough” if we are to advance. Hence, the ‘Distance’ is actually an encouragement of sorts.

Feeling distant from God despite your higher efforts is not because God is rejecting you. It’s because your efforts have lifted you to a new spiritual state which requires a more advanced paradigm of spiritual output that your not quite yet fulfilling consistently enough.

Everywhere I look, people are either trying to entertain you, or sell you something. I’m noticing it more and more as the days pass. There is something not quite right with a world where almost everyone on a platform is either trying to entertain you, or make themselves richer.

The categories of “being” homosexual/heterosexual were western constructions of the late 19th century. In the past, people engaged in same sex acts but not often exclusively. We now operate on a rigid, reductionist paradigm of sexuality identity which we sadly accept as truth.
