@Marathon_Mcr I’m seeing a lot of content on social media from Sunday where people who clearly weren’t participants in the marathon were running and taking up a lot of space on the course. Why was this allowed? Will you be doing anything about this for 2027?

@Marathon_Mcr See attached two photos. The second one is the finish line. Large group of people hardly any of whom are wearing a race bib. One person is riding a bicycle. The group is blocking up the vast majority of the marathon course.

Was this okay in your opinion?

My point being that I’m keen to run the marathon again in 2027 having done it previously in 2025 but not if you’re allowing it to be a complete free for all (as it clearly appears to have been in places this year). Look forward to your response.

@AvantiWestCoast I’ve bought an open return for the 5.30 from London Euston to Warrington. Are you saying that I can use it on any Avanti train from London Euston to Warrington today (even if before 5.30, eg 1.30, 2.30, 3.30, 4.30)?

@AvantiWestCoast Yes I’m trying to buy an OPEN return on the 1.30. This isn’t possible on your app, your website or the train line app. But you are letting people on the 1.30 if they buy a single or a ticket via a (non open) return. Why?
