A defence witness has raised concerns about gaps in the evidence relating to the alleged shooting involving Lekompo musician Lehlogonolo “#ShebeMaburna” Chauke.
Independent forensic ballistics specialist, Dr Christo De Klerk told the Polokwane magistrates court that photographs of the vehicle allegedly involved in the shooting incident did not document an important forensic evidence and possible damage and bloodstains.
The expert say he could not identify a forensic ballistics report in documents provided to him confirming the examination of a firearm, bullets or cartridge cases linked to the alleged shooting.
De Klerk also questioned the medical documentation, saying it does not establish a gunshot wound and that the medical graphic does not clearly identify which wound was the entrance or exit wound.
De Klerk was called by Chauke’s defence team to present his findings in support of the musician’s another bail application on new facts. IMS
