@mayiogu@Letter_to_Jack@diipodipe Same argument can be advanced for the airline industry. When the people wail about the prices, the government keeps mute like they are not a major contributory factor due to charges and taxes. They keep hoping we don't see what is going on. So far, they have been lucky. We don't.
Can we all just pause for a sec and reflect on how fucking important Tailscale is, and how nobody ever talks about them? I don't think I've ever seen a more useful service with a more invisible corporate footprint.
@Rotankwot@ARISEtv Irrespective of whether subsidy is right or not, by your logic, are you saying govt's best tool to tackle its inefficiency at curbing smuggling is to make Nigerians pay for that inneficiency? Please, advance another argument.
@OpeFoodCritic It's a scale issue. Many people will be on that table. Even "analogue" stock brokers will likely overwhelm their processes today based on multiple "buy" instructions from their customers.
@JosnickR@OurFavOnlineDoc Yes, it is. Hweva, that's based on the assumption that the stock appreciates in value to, at least hedge against inflation/devaluation. If not, it will be a painful decision. Ask many who invested in insurance stocks circa 2008. In the end, stock investment is a risk. Do your DD.
@Officially_Kriz Watched the podcast. It was very refreshing, as usual. Very sound analysis, in my opinion, if you are not banking on psychology, as he pointed out.
@DrHadizaib@RoyIsThaTruth Spot on!
The people that understand this channel their energy and resources towards what matters or their objectives at the time. But the society, especially family and friends, have a favourite tag for them: self-centred!
@Wizarab10 "Saner climes", as avg. Nigerian will always say. U wdn't believe the things that happen in "saner climes" that will be "blue murder" here. We can do better in Nigeria, but they r not angels at all. Another example is working conditions in some firms: pathetic & exploitative!
@olumidecapital You are a lone voice on this!
The poor man is daily drowned in advice and info about investment and fantastic returns on the SE, while the need to earn is often glossed over. You need to earn to invest! Your earnings will ensure you can continuously invest. Skill up!
@Acestagfredx@the_goodfemi My point was simply on the Naira value of investments in 2007 and now, with the attendant effect of inflation and exchange rate. Many pple with very little knowledge were enticed by the allure of the market. They simply ended up cleaned out. Stock mkt at the time was a big bubble
@Acestagfredx@the_goodfemi Any time I look at the prices of stocks back then vs now, clearly many stocks 'll almost certainly never reach same level. It was a big bubble; pple were playing the market. They drew innocents into investing in stocks. Even if they get back, inflation has cleared ur investments.
@Doc_Ifeanyi@Lanisco@Acestagfredx@Samuel832294701@the_goodfemi Think of how much a Toyoya camry was worth then, and then now. U have more money in the bank, but generally less useful. It's why the $ value matters.
Governors keep shouting they are gettting more money today but in real terms, the are getting less dollar value than before.
@AbbakarDex@egi_nupe The dangers of shallow understanding.
I don't mean that as an insult. It just shows that u don't have a grasp of what goes into their production, and how their businesses operate to have come to this conclusion. E.g, ask a typical 'Amazun' warehouse staff for their experience.
Apparently, if you don’t come back by 9 p.m. from your gruelling corporate job and sit down for 1-3 hours with your self-development tasks, you’ll not be able to get out of the rat race forever😞
Esto es algo que siempre nos dicen que puede pasar en una gasolinera, aunque por suerte no suele ocurrir casi nunca. Pero ¿aquí exactamente por qué pasó?😟💭😱
