Hi, my name is Austin Cooper. I played drums in Phantom Party and recorded on our sole full-length album, Hundred Skeletons. I'm revisiting it and tweeting along the way. It'll be my first time listening to it in full since we recorded it in early 2017. Hope it's good.

At this time of my life, I was 21. I had just started a job that turned out to be some weird telemarketing thing. I quit on the spot and came to record. I bought a recording interface for us the day of recording since we really wanted to do it ourselves. Lots of learning.

i remember this so vividly because it was the first and only time ive ever “taught” josh anything with guitar. because that man is leagues better than me with that.

this note adds nothing to the conversation but: i played the chord progression for this on a uke in josh’s room and ive never seen him perk up so quick. immediately asked me to teach it to him and thats the day josh learned the “jazz” 2-5-1 progression

It’s over. What a ride. When we put this album out, I heard mixed feelings on it. The biggest complaints were about the mix and how the reverb overpowered lots of the vocals especially. We were actually talking about remixing it down the line but lost all the masters.

"Aquatic Lullaby": I don't remember much about this song. I'm listening to it now and getting a Pink Floyd feel. I'm not sure if this was on the CD version, but we tried to make this a hidden track and somehow it just got listed on Spotify and such.
