CHRISTMAS CONCERT | It is with deep sadness that the band have to announce that unfortunately our Christmas concert at Henhayes Community has been cancelled.
We would like to offer our apologies to all that were due to attend and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS | Phoenix Brass are delighted to be performing tomorrow evening as part of Beaminster’s Christmas lights switch-on.
A selection of the band will be playing ‘all things festive’ from 6pm.

A selection of the band will be playing ‘all things festive’ in Falklands Square from 6pm.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT | We are delighted to confirm, we will be performing an evening of festive music on Friday 17th December at The Henhayes Centre, Crewkerne.
Doors and Bar open from 19:00 with the concert commencing at 19:45.
Tickets are now available for £12.50.
REGIONALS 2022 | The music panel at the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain has this morning announced the test pieces for the 2022 UK Regional Finals.
Phoenix Brass will perform ‘Aeronaughts’ by Goff Richards at the West of England finals in March 2022.
FIRST REHEARSAL | After almost 15 months, the band met last night for its first rehearsal. Although socially distanced which meant fewer in numbers, it was an absolute joy to be finally back, doing what we love and enjoy!
WELCOME BACK | Along with the recent fantastic news regarding the band returning to rehearsals from this Wednesday, we are also delighted to be able to announce the return of cornet player; Andrew Fry seeking a return to music after a number of years break.

WE ARE BACK!! | After two national lockdowns and an almost unbelievable 468 days, we are delighted to be able to announce that the band will return to rehearsals on Wednesday 23rd June 2021!
The last 14 months have been extremely difficult for everyone including brass bands and in line with the latest Government announcement confirming we can return to what we all really enjoy, really ‘hits the right note’ with everyone involved at Phoenix Brass!

JUST GIVING | We are saddened to hear the news that our cornet player; Jerry Bruton was diagnosed with Lung Cancer earlier this year.
Jerry’s daughter; Kate is raising money for @Roy_Castle_Lung by taking on a 15,000ft sky dive to support her Dad & to overcome this illness.
2022 REGIONALS | The West of England Brass Band Association have today confirmed the dates for the 2022 Regional Championships.
As we are currently a Second Section band, we will compete on Saturday 12th March 2022, against the other member bands in our section.
The band have not rehearsed together since 12th March 2020, however in light of the governments announcement, the band will follow advice from the DCMS to advise how brass band activity is planned to fit into the roadmap for the removal of Covid restrictions in the coming months.
ON THIS DAY | A year ago on this day, the band performed a ‘Spring concert’ in our home town of Crewkerne, little did the band know at the time, it would be the first and only concert of 2020!
The concert included our first public performance of the 2020 regionals test piece; The Golden Sabre as well as being joined by our guest soprano singer; Bethan Terry who sung a number of specially arranged pieces with the band.
