A Phoenix rider crashed at Rainford tonight. He's okay but in need of a new skinsuit. Doing 30mph downhill, a driver came past at 80 or more, causing a speed wobble.
Shay Elliot died 50 years ago today: the first English-speaking cyclist to win stages in all three grand tours.

Bit of racing at the weekend: @JoshOwenMorris came tenth at the East Lancs RC two stage hill climb, and then at the VTTA 15 mile championship Phill Warburton did 34.56 for 29th. Janet Fairclough did 35.58 for 44th and James Meldrum did 35.59 for 45th.
There are a number of reasons including medical, practical and personal.
We will also need new volunteers for next season if the series is to continue as currently organised.
Club members should have details on ordering kit in their email inboxes, window closes on Wednesday.
