@McBrideLawNYC There's absolutely a problem when referees become part of the outcome in games. This ref single handedly removed the top goal scorer from a must win game and could have ended USA's win tonight. That's not officiating, that's deciding the outcome.

@YahooSports If FIFA allows inconsistent calls to stand without outside review will it not just prove to it's critics that they are corrupt? This just allows the refs to make any calls they want without repercussions. If you made the correct call.... it should withstand any scrutiny.
