With trading on the way out, it only seems like a matter of time before bakkesmod joins it.
There's no beating around the bush with this. It's all about money. There isn't some silver lining or trade off we're getting by ripping out core features of the game. There has to be more communication on things like this.
I highly doubt any original Psyonix employees were pushing for this to happen. If anything, daddy Epic probably made an executive decision and any kind of push back fell on deaf ears. That unfortunately means we probably won't have any transparency regarding the situation. I'm sure a lot of people at Psyonix were also disappointed/angry with the decision.
We like Rocket League for what it is, not for some attempted side project revenue stream that Epic is trying to turn it into.
