We began the visit of NATO’s North Atlantic Council to Ukraine by honoring the memory of fallen Ukrainian warriors at the Wall of Remembrance. Along with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte @SecGenNATO, Chair of the Alliance’s Military Committee Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone @CMC_NATO, as well as the permanent representatives and deputy permanent representatives of all 32 NATO member states.

We deeply appreciate this sign of respect from the Alliance representatives toward our warriors, who defended our country and all of Europe from Russian evil. It is profoundly important to remember every single man and woman thanks to whom we have the opportunity to live freely and choose our own way of life.

Blessed be the memory of the fallen Ukrainian defenders. Eternal honor to the heroes.

Today has been a difficult day in Ukraine after a massive Russian strike. There were many ballistic missiles and drones. Now air-raid alerts are active across various regions too. And once again, we are facing aerial threats. Just today, Russian strikes have taken 22 lives in Kyiv and Dnipro, including children. We are doing everything to protect our people, our cities, and our communities. And we are grateful to those who are helping us. Ukraine is grateful to Italy. We deeply value that you care, that you want peace for us, and see the defense of Kyiv’s independence and freedom as your cause. Together, we will certainly achieve this.

I congratulate Italy, President Mattarella @Quirinale, President of the Council of Ministers @GiorgiaMeloni, and all Italian people on the 80th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic. Freedom is an achievement that must be defended every day.

Є хороші результати наших далекобійних санкцій від воїнів СБУ, СБС, ССО, ГУР та ДПСУ. Цієї ночі було уражено важливі об’єкти на території Росії.

Серед них – Петербурзький нафтовий термінал. Від нашого державного кордону України до цього обʼєкта російської нафтової галузі, яка працює на війну, близько 1100 кілометрів. Також досягнуто і суто військових цілей на Кронштадтській базі.

Ще одна ціль – підприємство в Тамбовському регіоні, яке залучене у виробництві російської зброї. Відстань від лінії фронту – майже 600 кілометрів.

Дякую нашим воїнам за влучність. Український план далекобійних санкцій виконується саме так, як це і потрібно для наближення миру. Слава Україні!

REP. KEATING: I have some questions about our envoy, Steve Witkoff. I mean, he met with Putin at length. He came out of that saying Putin is trustworthy.

That this war criminal is a good guy. That he trusts him. Witkoff even gave advice to Ushakov, a top Putin advisor, on how to flatter our president and how to manipulate our president for the Russians.

That not only provokes concern and feeling on my part that he’s not up to the job, but even colleague on Armed Services Committee on the other side of the aisle, Representative Bacon, said the guy should be removed.

I must tell you, it just reinforces to me that at the end, in Ukraine there has to be some kind of military provision in place, not just words with Putin, to make sure he stops. And this is completely relevant to the Baltics, because they’re next.
