I remember when this talking stage visited. I baked banana bread that night despite being extremely tired, because he was always talking about how he’d love to try my banana bread. I didn’t want him to travel back without trying it so I baked still.

The following morning, I was making Egusi soup and poundo yam. Not once did he get up and at least pretend to ask what I’m doing or offer to join me, which was fine still. He ‘woke up’ when I was done cooking and ate, relishing the food and asking why I hadn’t been sending food to the island since, that he’d been eating rubbish. I laughed.

Lol, I lost it completely and ghosted him when he started whining about me not being ‘thoughtful enough’ to bake more banana bread for him to travel with and gift his nephews and nieces. That I should’ve “baked and sent him bill”. Lmaooo

Next time, the moment I hear “I like you because you can cook”, I block and ghost 🙏
