I’ve never really equated super greably or complex designs with realism, cuz I always imagine that MS and other mechs
look streamlined and elegant in the way that fighter jets do

But the AAA-ified modern designs can also be aesthetically equated, to more complex irl vehicles

@SpencerButlerVA Yea, and I also think the iconography of the mechs is pretty important, even in-lore. I.E., a gundam HAS to look like a gundam because it terrifies enemies; the people see them as bizarre, incomprehensible machines so they probably have to commit to that aesthetic
