If a wrestler needs “reaction time”, that implies the offensive action created a scoring position. Waiting to see if the defender can react before awarding points prioritizes the defense rather than rewarding the offense. Reward offensive success rather than reactive scrambling.
How about this BOOM!?!
For just the fourth time in program history, we're bringing eight or more Scarlet Knights to the @NCAAWrestling Championships!

@adamtirapelle This and the cradle/hip situation are terrible. If anything should be an auto td its that. Guys will literally belly out and as long as they keep moving they get like 3 seconds to turn back in. Its insane.
@JoeKania3@RUWrestling@CoachGoodale is leading one of the most exciting seasons in our program’s history! Let us celebrate him and the young men who make this possible by supporting scholarships for the wrestling program. @R_Fund

197 | And this one is OVER. Remy Cotton with the sudden victory pin at 197 and @RUWrestling is going to beat the nation’s No. 6 ranked team. Wha a showing for the Scarlet Knights. They lead 23-12 with one to go.
If you told me when I was in high school that there would be like 8,000 people at a Rutgers wrestling match where they beat Minnesota I would have laughed in your face. One of the greatest stories in college sports. Build the Goodale statue.
