I have some advice for Riftbound content creators.
The more Riftbound content I watch, the more I view it through two lenses:
1. A player actually trying to learn
2. Someone who runs a content agency
Almost all deck guides I've watched are missing the mark. They always explain the “ideal” lines, “T1 play this, T2 play that”, but TCGs don’t work like that. Variance defines the game. You NEVER draw perfectly.
The content that would genuinely level people up and have people coming back to watch more of your stuff is by starting with a short decklist overview + key cards, then jump into TCG Arena and play the deck. Talk through real decisions, awkward hands, mid-game pivots, actual thinking.
People learn from real games, not scripted perfection. I promise you it'll evoke more emotion in the viewer and have them wanting to consume more of your content.
Alrighty I’m back from the dead.
I’m playing Yugioh…. Again. The addiction is revived.
Anyways Edison locals at Southside gaming this Friday 7:30 let’s ball
Also since I can say this now:
As my last act as a Yugioh player for a while
@YuGiOh_TCG update the banned players list and unban my friend #FreeRyanSano
still disappointed they rejected my commentary a year ago
they gave a me a 5 minute audition and let that speak instead of my thousands of hours of actual play by play and my youtube analysis.
that's the reason I don't do free advertising for them anymore. good motivation.
weirdly enough, I probably changed for the better for it. graduated college and went into a better industry. I'll still love the game, just can't treat it the same.
shoutouts to EU, they know a good show.
retrospective over.
