Last Christmas, I was invited to give a talk about my experiments at the University of Cambridge, where I presented details of my studies for the first time ever, after 3 years of work!

So happy to have been invited to give a teaching lesson on my topic ‘The Mental Cost of Listening’ 🧠 to a group of expert clinicians enrolled in the highest qualification programme of their specialty 👩🏻‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️🧑🏼‍⚕️ the Higher Specialist Scientist Training (a professional doctoral programme).
I had a great time and we all came out of it learning something new 🏛️

It seems that this person is a little traumatised by the experience. I felt that way towards some of my previous university and school graduations but I don’t feel that way towards the PhD. This particular opportunity to me was a godsend for many reasons so I can’t help but feel grateful everyday. I agree with others who said that it is more for your family than for you, and who said that it depends on when and why you did it, I am 35 yrs old, totally different from 24 yr olds who have been at it back to back for many years.
