@grok@bramk Thanks @grok - so if we in stage 6 of the long term debt cycle and nearing its volatile conclusion, you’d still want Bitcoin in your portfolio?
@grok@bramk Hey @grok - why do think Gold is currently only considered by central banks as the antidote to this issue? Dalio’s criticism of bitcoin is that its trackable and nom-private unlike Gold. Would you counter this argument with an alternative view or do you agree?
Just me, or is this #f1 season the most dull close title fight we’ve ever had? So bland considering it’s in the balance. Bring back @Max33Verstappen and @LewisHamilton kicking the crap out of each other for 9 months #F1#f1qatar#Formula1#Qatargp
.@RayDalio - is this evidence that central banks will eventually acquire #Bitcoin for their reserves. I know this is something you thought unlikely to happen?
The Czech National Bank has purchased digital assets for the first time in its history. 🌐
Through this USD 1 million investment, the CNB has created a test portfolio of digital assets based on blockchain. 🔗 In addition to bitcoin, the portfolio will include a test investment in the form of a USD stablecoin and a tokenised deposit on the blockchain. 🖥️
📌 The purchase was made outside the CNB’s existing international reserves. The total amount invested will not be actively increased.
💬 “I came up with the idea of creating a test portfolio in January 2025. The aim was to test decentralised bitcoin from the central bank’s perspective and to evaluate its potential role in diversifying our reserves. The Bank Board then decided to have an analysis prepared. Subsequent internal discussions broadened the scope to include the future of payments and the tokenisation of assets. As a result, stablecoins and tokenised deposits were included alongside bitcoin. We will inform the public about our experience on an ongoing basis and present an overall assessment of the project in approximately two to three years,” said CNB Governor Aleš Michl (@MICHLiq_).
➡️ The aim is to gain practical experience with blockchain-based technologies, which may fundamentally affect the operation of the financial and payment system in the future. In the test portfolio, the CNB will test the whole chain of processes associated with the purchase, holding and management of digital assets – from technical administration of keys and multi-level approval processes, through crisis scenarios and security mechanisms, to verifying AML compliance.

@JoeCarlasare So if you think we are going into an easing phase Joe and an upcoming bull market, what’s to stop btc price going to 300-400k? From what I’ve seen you feel 200k is as high as we can expect in 2026?
@JoeCarlasare Yes, really enjoyed it. But Joe, we didn’t hear your price prediction for end of Q1 2026?
And also, you didn’t give an opinion on whether Bitcoin outperforms gold over the next 5 years?
Any UK Bitcoiners noticed that the IShares Bitcoin ETP is now available on Trading 212 but not AJ Bell? Seems to have been a complete hash of a launch. Well played FCA. @freddienew@JayW132
Trying out a thought - putting out a weakness of mine in order to draw attention to it so I can improve:
Weakness: Building / creating income producing business/ideas. Literally just find it difficult to do. To actually create something that will produce earnings and double down on it.
I earn an income from a job and I’ve been successful at investing that income to grow my balance sheet. But freeing myself from the 9-5 for my own creative pursuit- I suck at it.
Still working on it - on we go
#Bitcoin #build
Buying and holding Bitcoin is like lifting weights and eating well.
Not flashy. Not complicated. Just the basics done consistently — and over time, nothing beats it
I can’t say exactly how effective Bitcoin is as a money, but it’s being perceived by many as an alternative money and so is worth paying attention to.
Money needs to be both a medium of exchange and a storehold of wealth — and the latter is more important.
I doubt that any central bank will take it on as a reserve currency. That’s because all of the transactions are public, so there’s no privacy to it, and there’s a risk that in the future the code could be broken to make it less effective through government controls.
My personal approach is that I do have some Bitcoin in my portfolio, but not much.
