T-minus 5 for the 2 @Fettes_College teams who went down to Strathaven Airfield for the first round of the Esero sponsored CanSat Competition. A fantastic learning experience, getting to launch their modules in rockets.
Dr Ricks took teams ‘CanSat Challenger’ and ‘Floor-it’ from @Fettes_College to compete in the CanSat technology competition. Teams must produce a module to collect data from a rocket and provide continuous telemetry back to a ground station.
Fraser C is one of the top 24 students in the Astronomy Olympiad this year. He has been selected to attend the Astro Training Camp where they will select the students who will be representing the UK in the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics in Brazil!
Following an exceptional ‘Top Gold’ ranking for Fraser C @Fettes_College in the 1st round of the British Physics Olympiad (top 6% of all entries)… he’s only gone and done it again with a second ‘Top Gold’ ranking in the British Astronomy Olympiad. 2 round 2s beckon!
