Researchers used fNIRS to record relative prefrontal cortex (PFC) activity in people w/ #Parkinsons disease while walking. Their results suggest a reduction in PFC activity while walking may indicate less impaired, more automatic control of walking.

This study examined prefrontal cortex (PFC) activity during #gait in adults with persisting #concussion symptoms. PFC activity was higher in those with concussion, & higher PFC activity was related to greater symptom severity and some gait characteristics. https://t.co/i4fawiZ7Ay
