The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted traditional approval of donanemab, sold under the brand name Kisunla, the 2nd disease modifying drug for an Alzheimer’s treatment. This milestone can generate hope for continued advancements. Health Canada is currently reviewing Leqembi (lecanemab) and Kinsula (donanemab). We encourage you to take a few moments to fill out the survey that will help inform how these medications could be included in publicly funded drug plans, if approved by Health Canada.

Avancée majeure dans la recherche d’un traitement pour la maladie d’Alzheimer. En effet, le deuxième médicament modificateur pour traiter la maladie d’Alzheimer, nommé Donanemab, vendu sous le nom de marque Kisunla, s’est vu accordé une autorisation traditionnelle de la Food and Drug Administration (FDA) des États-Unis. C’est une étape significative qui cristallise l'espoir d’un progrès continu dans la recherche de traitement pour les maladies neurocognitives. Au niveau national, Santé Canada examine actuellement Leqembi (lecanemab) et Kinsula (donanemab), ces potentielles solutions médicamenteuses. Ainsi, nous vous encourageons à prendre quelques instants pour répondre à l'enquête qui nous aidera à déterminer comment ces médicaments pourraient être inclus dans les régimes publics d'assurance-médicaments, s'ils sont approuvés par Santé Canada.
