Meet PiG: @pidotdev, rebuilt in Go as one native binary.
Live multi-language extensions, derivative harnesses (Piglets), and everything Pi just in Go.

๐ if still running v0.2.0, re-run the installer once:
curl -fsSL https://t.co/xcy19TwqQ3 | sh
From 0.3.0 on, PiG tells you when a new version is out, like Pi does, and pig update handles it. Checksums and signatures are verified.
0.4.0 (Pi 0.99.1) coming soon. ๐ท

First big update since launch, thank you to the contributing herd and everyone trying it!

v1.0.0 will have:
- Persistent sessions & remoting over QUIC via Tailscale / Iroh
- Browser panes & picture-in-picture observability for agents under omp + native components
- Shared sessions across Desktop, iOS, or Web
- Notion-style Markdown notes
- Built-in code editor with git markers
- Preview for video, audio, vector graphics, pdfs...
- Kitty graphics, keyboard, drag-and-drop, clipboard
- Scriptable from the CLI
- Launches in ~150ms
- Builtin p10k-like prompt, backed by a native overlay
@PiGCodingAgent Using Piโs own runtime for extensions is a neat compromise. It keeps the Go port from also becoming a JavaScript compatibility project haha
@raulrivas99 Thanks and exactly :) We still do have to maintain the sdks for rust/python/go but now it's a more automated process based on the interfaces imported from Pi source into the PiG pi/node extension runtime
@AngeloLorenzoni It's a performance fork more than anything, the point is to be as faithful as possible functionally to the upstream. I can do a bench in the future but my theory is it'd be boring on pass rate alone given they're similar in terms of context handling/features.
