@Uzonna7 It's because it was total pro Cecil Beaton, who was referencing the dress of his own mother and her social world during his Edwardian childhood - so it represents his entire artisitc style journey through the 20th century up to 60s chic. Plus Hepburn was a trained ballet dancer!
