$OTC is based both in concept and price. The desk NFTs are something truly unique though.
I admittedly never understood NFTs and missed that wave cause "why pay for jpegs". A bit ignorant I admit, but not far off most people's interpretations.
OTC Desks are different. First of all they are gorgeous and bring me back to 2001 all over again, building my first computer. Aesthetic win.
But more important, they are functional. They are the intersection of NFT and RWA meta, paying you in tokenized stocks.
I had never bought an NFT before, I bought 3 immediately when I understood and saw the vision.
OTC is doing things that make me believe again, in crypto, in community, in building something special, which is what got me started in this space in the first place.
Onward. Respectfully.
For a long time NFTs were mostly about being part of the community and “owning the art.” CryptoPunks, Apes, Pudgy Penguins, even Retardio during the memecoin supercycle, they were status symbols. You basically showed you didnt mind throwing five figures (or more) on a PFP just to prove you were deep in crypto.
The hype faded as the market changed. Nowadays some people think rocking an Ape is lame (I dont agree with them tbh). But the direction of NFTs is clearly shifting, and we cant ignore that.
A successful NFT project now has to provide more value than just art or community. With Metaplex core nfts new possibilities opened up. Your nft isnt just a jpeg sitting on some data center. It can actually become a vault and that vault can hold tokens that belong to the nft itself.
If you have a working product that generates revenue and you want to share that revenue with holders, Metaplex nfts are one of the cleanest ways to do it.
solana:MukLDtJ8Cx9DxLbeyLRSWPSposTMWuwHANbuaudpump Desks are a good example of this shift. The protocol captures revenue from coins launched on it and funnels a share into the desks. There are already days where a single desk generates meaningful passive income for the holder, and their market share is still pretty low. The dev is consistently shipping new features and the community is one of the most active ones on CT right now. I think they continue growing from here, and the desks should generate more passive income over time as the protocol scales.
In the near future OTC Desk NFTs are going to be a real sign of wealth + actual passive income.
YOU ARE EARLY!

@cryptolaanie Love your plays sir. I don't yet understand perps, but I really appreciate the implied insight from your postings. Think it will eventually help me manage my long only spot bias. Onward.
solana:MukLDtJ8Cx9DxLbeyLRSWPSposTMWuwHANbuaudpump finally getting justice after a repeated campaign of X reporting and DDOS attacks. Can't keep a winner down
@cryptolaanie Watching with interest, as my gut says to slam my longs for break over 87k, but I am holding firm to maintaining my cash cushion.....for now
@greenytrades Fantasy that will lead to liquidation or significant drawdowns likely outweighing the gains. Terrible advice. You buy and hold during bull markets. Respectfully.
This is exactly what $OTC was built with in my mind, creating real revenue value for holders in the eco system. Pump sees it as a direct threat to their model despite launching there and it has had what appear to be coordinated X report and ddos attacks on its site. Have a look, cause none of that has shaken holder conviction or community
