We are pleased to inform you that the travellers have left the park!

Council officers visited the traveller site this morning to carry out necessary checks and they have notified the travellers that they need to move on because of the existing possession order on the land. The Council have contacted bailiffs to act should they not.

Unfortunately, a number of travellers have arrived on Pickering Park. We're taking steps to deal with the issue, and will be asking the council why the area was not secured.

We been informed that 10 vans arrived at the Priory Park and Ride site yesterday evening.

Council officers are liaising with the Police to arrange a joint visit to assess the situation. We will post updates as and when we receive them.
