Just a reminder that the “grassroots community group” who have organised a meeting for concerned locals about traffic in Edinburgh are conspiracy-addled lunatics.
There’s a genuine debate to be had about traffic management in the city, but these people are nuts.
Together has posted an interview with Michael Yeadon. 🙄 Even the edited version sees him talking about a global plot to use digital IDs and digital currency to enslave the world, and claiming the pandemic and response to it were "synthetic", and possibly organised by the WEF.
@stitzch *She* posts pictures of books she has clearly never read in an attempt to show herself as intelligent and cultured.
*He* posts pictures of records he has clearly listened to show how intelligent and cultured he is.
Definitely no weirdness or misogyny involved.
🎥 Reform’s Aberdeen South candidate Jo Hart addressing the rows over some of her social media comments.
She says calling actors ‘satanic worshipping trash’ was banter and ‘just a flippant comment’
But she doesn’t back away from 5G concerns…
West Coast Motors posted this on their Facebook. Car brain runs this deep btw. How Tory do you need to be to try and get a bus service removed from your street? Like actually this might be up there in terms of the most stupid things ever
Oleksandra Oliynykova gave an emotional speech before her press conference after her loss to Shnaider, ‘When children are dying, when violence is justified or celebrated, we cannot look away… We cannot protect those who support such actions… Being a role model isn’t about the size of your bank account. A real role model has the courage to stand against evil’
“I know that some people disagree with my actions. I know that some people would prefer that I stay silent. What I do is not about politics. It’s about humanity. When people are being killed, when children are dying, when violence is justified or celebrated, we cannot pretend nothing is happening. We cannot look away. We cannot protect those who support or excuse such actions. Our organization was not built by pioneers like Billie Jean King so that money and luxury could become the only values in women’s tennis. They wanted something bigger than that. They wanted us to have a voice. To inspire others. To make the world better. To be role models for young athletes. And being a role model is not about the size of your bank account. It’s not about expensive watches, private jets, or luxury brands. A real role model has the courage to stand against evil. A real role model speaks when it’s easier to stay silent. A real role model has the determination to act when action is needed. We as players have responsibility that goes beyond tennis. Because sports should always stand with humanity, and humanity should never be optional. Thank you.”

@MoonieNo5 To be fair, in Edinburgh persistent parking on the pavement is usually dealt with quickly, but in this case the road is unadopted by the council so no-one is doing anything.
@GylerNorth I don’t know if they actually turned up - I think they were called because some of the drivers were shouting abuse at each other and it might have escalated.
@GylerNorth Yeah - this was the other night. Queues both ways back onto Glasgow Road and back into the DL car park. No one giving ground and the police were called.
Amazingly bad parking and driving at Gyle Park. Big queue of people trying to drive past from each direction and no-one is giving ground. Lots of angry people beeping their horns at each other.
@mancunianmedic The impact of climate on health is a very real and likely increasing issue everywhere, including in the UK. Not sure healthcare systems have yet fully appreciated the magnitude of the challenge headed our way.

This is up there as one of the worst misses when holding match point that I've ever seen and should give recreational club players (like me!) a boost knowing it can happen to the very best. 💀
If you're not watching it, I am begging you all to look up a replay of that Khachanov miss when holding match point deep in the 4th set against Trungelliti. Genuinely jaw on floor type of error. No idea how this match is still going, shoulda' been over there and then.
