Pediatrician here. I want people to know that death by firearm is not rare in kids. In fact, it has been the #1 cause death in this age group since 2020. In 2020 alone, 4300 children died from firearms. That’s equivalent to one Boeing 747 plane crash every month for 9 months.

My committee never would have let me defend if I wasn’t ready and viewed it as an opportunity to share knowledge and show understanding. Those who tear students down during the defense either have giant egos or are fighting with another committee member. 🙄
