💔 Maidstone United are shocked and saddened at the passing of Devonte Aransibia.
Devonte joined the Stones in May 2023 and made 23 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals. He will be fondly remembered for his performance in the first round of last season's Emirates FA Cup, when he scored the opener in a 2-0 win.
Director of Football Bill Williams said: “We are shocked and saddened by the news of Devonte’s passing.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at what will be an incredibly difficult time for them.
“Although Devonte was only with us for a relatively short time, like all players past and present, he was welcomed into the Maidstone United family and all those who met him and watched him play will mourn the loss of someone so young.
“I know our management team will pay tribute in due course, while supporting our players who will undoubtedly be impacted by the loss of someone who was a teammate just last season.
“Rest in peace, Devonte.”
@MagnificoMags@talkSPORT Every conversation with an arsenal fan always ends up with the invincibles being brought up, they certainly like a late bid for a striker, only gotta remember the debarcle with Suarez🤣🤣
@MagnificoMags@talkSPORT Also the timing of that bid from Arsenal for Watkins last night was absolutely disgraceful and says it all about those clubs, they along with their fans think they’re entitled, the fact they bid around 45 mil for Watkins when we bought him for 33 mil says it all about that lot🤣
@MagnificoMags@talkSPORT It’s honestly tragic how often they do this not only to fit in with the big 6 narrative to get clicks; neither Isak or Watkins are going to Arsenal, or any other club in the PL, those other clubs are dreaming if they think they are
I’ve tried to find the words to explain what your support and the roar before kick off means to my family & I after 445 days, but I can’t so I’ll just again say thank you 🫶🏽
