@ErinSchryer@BlaineHiggs Thats incredibly disappointing to hear! Wow. Those early years shape our province's future citizens! We need to be valued as a sector for sure!
@BlaineHiggs i am a daycare operator and am freaking a bit....what do you mean parents wont be charged????? How will we survive without that revenue, will it come from government?
@JustinTrudeau NB Made the choice to close schools yet keep early learning centers open. ECEs out to the front line is very insulting while Teachers have 2 weeks to protect themselves and their families. This is just another dig at our profession and shows the lack of respect even in crisis
@DominicCardy many of us center owners are truly alarmed at the thought of being open over the nwxt 2 weeks. Should we decide to stay closed would we still be able to receive our government funds like our QIFS and parent subsidies?
@QESRockstars @DominicCardy This is scary. @DominicCardy will we be closing schools and elcs for a couple weeks like Ontario is doing? Time is essential here. I am getting nervous. Havent sent my kids to school since Wednesday.
The lack of respect ECEs receive as highly-qualified professionals suggests either the public believes young children do not require support from educators or ECEs are unskilled & underqualified teachers โ the lack of respect must end. #ECEappreciation https://t.co/C9ttALtRQE
@MargaretNMcCain@UNBFFacultyofEd@UNBECE1 I am very sad to hear that with 20 years in ECE facilitating curriculum Framework sessions, owning and directing centres, the degree is NOT OPEN to me because I dont have 2 year ECE JUST 1 year because that is all that New Brunswick colleges have offered!!!! Seems so unfair.
