@alojoh Question @alojoh , you are master in forecasting. So, who will solve and scale autonomous ride hailing first, second and third and within what time frame?
It is unbelievable how ‘professional’ dermatologists simplify the message. So much simplified that it becomes incorrect. Children now need to put on high factor sunscreen if they have a break in school and they play outside for 15 minutes. People are not stupid. There is room to explain much more nuanced.
@askmike72@propaganda_nerd The skin becomes lighter and more sensitive to uv when you have low exposure because we need vitamine D and it is synthesized in the skin with UV light. This is very clever functionality. More daily exposure and good vitamine d levels make the skin less sensitive for uv exposure
@wholemars Whole Mars and SMR are amongst the very very few that are able to keep their head cool. They do not only have the brain but also the right stomach to invest. Respect with capital R.
Hope for you it will all come through. RDW I mean. It is indeed kind of a coincidence (or not) that Elon cancels the option to buy FSD and RDW’s planned conclusion on the art 39 procedure.
In my opinion a lot of development is converging into the same moment.
All aside, the main reason for the cancellation is that the value of FSD is much higher than the amount they are charging for it. The amount has been lower than the real value of FSD unsupervised because of all the development and the unknown trajectory and uncertainty. Makes sense.
Now they have solved it. The valuation has changed. They should sell it for way more money or cancel that option if it is too early to explain why it is that valuable.
Your fleet will be worth a lot. Well done.
The only place he could allocate that kind of money to is Musk’s companies.
#Tesla
#Spacex
#X_ai
They cannot be seen as one company but they will converge
They have the market cap
They have moat
They will show compounded growth for a long time
He won’t do it but he should
Obviously
@GuyDealership what they will prioritise next...?
They did not even finish the last priority and are backing down
in fact, they are prioritising postponing bankruptcy as long as possible by going back to combustion engine (yes, hybrids are still combustion engine)
@DillonLoomis Behind in what? The question is what the is the goal.
BD's goal is to provide awesome demonstrations so it seems.
Tesla's goal is to mass produce robots that are usable in the real world and affordable.
Any "how far are they" question should be linked to a specific goal.
By now FSD technology is just a part of the winning platform.
How is the average legacy car OEM going to build the fleet that will gather the real world data? Will they include the hardware in all their cars without charging for it? I doubt they will. They do not have the margin.
How long do you think it will take the legacy companies to design a dedicated cyber cab robotaxi and (unboxed) production process + the training infrastructure to solve the near infinite edge cases?
How will they do all this in time (before they go bankrupt as a result of not being able to provide unsupervised FSD with their cars while Tesla can)
I get NVIDIA's effort but this will not change the most probable outcome which is that most legacy car producers will not survive the transition to software heavy Autonomous Cars.
They are old fashioned hardware companies that have optimised an old business model.
They do not and will not understand software.
How is it packaged, in the way subprime was, if we know exactly what is in it?
It is a smart structure to gain more control over allocation
Not even the fees are the primary problem in a traditional IPO, the issue here is that the Investment banks allocate towards their favored institutional clients in the most interesting and wanted IPO ever
It is much better, if spacex does need to go to the capital markets for funding, that SpaceX ends up with a shareholder base that really supports the company and Musk.
