Reports from West #Darfur received today unveil that 773 African civilians including mostly teenagers, but women and elderly as well, have been massacred by the Jihadi #Janjaweed in the #Geneina area. Azerbaijani 🇦🇿 propaganda actively seeks to promote the fake notion that Armenians 🇦🇲 are not natives of the Caucasus, especially not of Arstakh/Nagorno-Karabagh, which is now occupied by Azerbaijan 🇦🇿. Their strategy consists of claiming that :
1)The Armenians' 🇦🇲 cultural heritage, such as churches and monasteries like Davidank, the Spitak Khach monastery or Tsitsernavank, is actually "Caucasian Albanian" but all Albanian signs on these monuments were erased in the 19th century and replaced by Armenian inscriptions 🙄. 2) Azeris 🇦🇿 are in fact the descendants of Albanians so they can be considered as natives instead of invaders 🙄🙄

On the contrary, fact-checking shows that:

↘️ Caucasian Albania was an ancient kingdom contemporary to Urartu and later Armenia 🇦🇲, whose territory covered modern Northern Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 above the Kura river, whose capital was Qabala,

↘️ This kingdom started to decline in 424, and disappeared during the 7th century.

↘️ Only the remaining 10,000 Udis of today are truly related to Albanians. Azeris 🇦🇿 are Turkish Oghuz 🇹🇷 coming from the East and are therefore not at all related to Udis nor to Albania either, of course,

↘️ While absolutely nothing suggests that so-called Udi signs had ever existed on Armenian 🇦🇲 ancient churches and monasteries, their Armenian origin is thoroughly documented.

↘️ Udis share a common history with Armenians. They now mainly live in Nij (Northern Azerbaijan), but some of them, after being oppressed by Azerbaijanis, are now being instrumentalized by them. One such Udi person, Robert Mobili, stated recently that:

“The restoration of the Albanian Apostolic Church will be the final blow to Armenia 🇦🇲.”

Azerbaijanis' statements are thus part of a long denialist policy which has lasted since the end of the 19th c., aiming at annihilating the entire Armenian heritage and presence in the South Caucasus
