And you’re making it way too simplified than it is. Sounbites, yes. Background music no. And I can’t act out 10 characters make and female with a vocoder. I’m not that talented as an actor. lol. I can’t sing either. I need it to flow CC seemlessly with background music that makes sense and has a theme. I can’t do that piecing together free stock music and clips.

The Sandman wasn’t AI. Hiring one voice actor is in the thousands depending on length. I don’t have the budget for the 10 characters I would need for it, let alone dialogue back and forth. Or budget to hire someone to create background music and songs. I know there is stock music that’s cheaper but hard to find the specific songs, instruments and to make it fit the scene and tie in as a full experience. I’ve spent many hours learning music terms and techniques as well as lyric writing. With studio in Suno, I’m learning to edit and tweak. Also I don’t have a soundproof area or the quality audio equipment to ever record at home. And I live off a busy street.

@cinemaxwell AI on its own produces slop. Creators who use it as a tool with their own vision, story, lyrics, art is a whole other thing. For instance, I follow an artist who takes the paintings she herself painted and brings them to life with AI.

@whyarethis Exactly. I try to tell people that it’s good talented artists are helping to develop standards instead of tech bros when it comes to their craft. And even then you can’t force someone to like or love your art or story or music whether it’s made with AI or not.
