We walked through the nine fruit, discussed the war between the flesh and spirit, talked about why theology is a worthy endeavor that leads us to worship, what it really means to abide, and we left best friends. All my favorite things.

We got to spend this week in North Carolina with a sweet group of pastors and their wives. It was a great time hanging out and teaching the Bible to pastors wives from North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, the Philippines, and even Norway!
If you are considering seminary, check out the upcoming Preview Day on the campus of @MABTS! During my time as a student, I have been equipped, encouraged, and left with a deeper love for God's Word and evangelism. Don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself!
Preview Day, is right around the corner! Whether you’re interested in a dual-enrollment, associate, bachelor, master, or doctoral level program, Preview Day is an excellent way to learn more about Mid-America and experience campus life. Learn more: https://t.co/gRAm5WB4Lc
To a generation that has been told they are perfect, their own happiness matters more than anything or anyone else, and that they should always trust and follow their heart—the Gospel is going to sound strange, counter-culture, self-deprecating, and even hateful.
Living alongside a generation of people that does not believe they need a Savior because they do not believe sin is a thing, we must be willing to give the bad news (Romans 3:23, 6:23) and the good news (Romans 5:8, 10:9).
Text-Driven Living—Instead of worrying and fixating on the temporal cares of this world, fix your eyes on Christ. Ask the Lord to provide you with a Scripture verse to meditate on day and night, each day. Find rest in worship and not restlessness in your worry.
If you know how to worry—you know how to meditate.
Several verses in the Bible emphasize the importance of meditating on God’s Word. Psalm 1:2-3 highlights the blessedness of meditating on God’s law both day and night, likening such a person to a fruitful tree.
Furthermore, Psalm 119:15 and 119:23 further demonstrate the importance of meditating on God’s precepts, ways, and statutes. Additionally, Proverbs 4:20-22 encourages individuals to keep God’s words in their heart, as they are life and health to their whole body.
In this short, pastoral epistle we will explore the things that accords with sound doctrine and how our salvation in Christ Jesus should lead to text-driven living within our homes, local churches, and the public square.
