We have a great new blog from @PighiniSonia looking at foodie culture and whether it's all it's cracked up to be.
Sonia is researching sustainable food system transitions in Bristol on our Cabot Master's by Research in Global Environmental Challenges.

This morning Russia bombed & attacked Ukraine. This is war, this is not a drill, this is very brutal, heartbreaking and terrifying news. If you are like me wondering where to channel the rage/ anxiety/ fear/ whatever else you're feeling about this mess, here are some ways to help
Brain-storming what my one-year research project will look like. A hopefully fair attempt at designing a transition pathway to a sustainable food system in Bristol 🌳
Crediting @Vervoort_Joost because the process is deeply inspired by GIP

@DavQn I also think this is super interesting and important to investigate! I will be hopefully addressing it in my master’s research next year on sustainable food systems :) if I find any interesting results I’ll make sure to update you!
@DavQn That’s totally true! And for sure the problem is far bigger and we could argue that our entire socio-political system is the reason why we have such an imbalance in power, wealth distribution, resources and welfare. Of course my post is not comprehensive of the entire issue -
@DavQn hence little responsibility, when it’s not true as individuals (consumers) have great influence. It doesn’t sit right with me when people say “it’s the big Corps” but then buy from Amazon every week. That’s my point
@DavQn Thanks for the comment! I know that and I’m also aware that some countries or populations are far more responsible than others (and I mentioned that indeed some are responsible for larger shares of damage). But there is a tendency to believe that individuals have little power -
