Not your typical “Steelers” card but allow me to explain. It’s the Steagles and it’s a legend.
2002 TK Legacy Dual Auto of Alvin & Albert Wistert. For you NFL historians, you likely know Albert or more commonly known as Al Wistert.
Wistert began his career with the Steagles in 1943, and went on to become one of the league’s best tackles of the 1940’s with the Eagles. So naturally, he fits the Steagles collection!

San Francisco QB John Brodie had a tremendous year in 1965 making the Pro Bowl he led the NFL in passing yards (3112), percentage completed (61.9), TDs (30), pass attempts (391) & completions (242 - a new NFL record at the time).
Quick throwback to one of my first articles on Substack. Working on my next one in this series and should be out soon!
But for now, please enjoy reading about the first true professional football card set ever produced and the Steelers who were featured in it!

Even in this still picture you can sense to motivation as Len Dawson and that great Kansas City offense breaks the huddle. How many players can you name from that Championship team of 1969?
OTD in 1974….
