आज हिन्दी दिवस है। इस अवसर पर सभी हिन्दी भाषी भाई-बहनों को मेरी हार्दिक शुभ कामनाएँ। प्रत्येक वर्ष हम श्रद्धा के साथ हिन्दी दिवस मनाते हैं। हम सभी भाषाओं के प्रति श्रद्धावान हैं।

इस संदर्भ में कहूँ तो वर्ष 2011 के बाद से राज्य में हिन्दी भाषी लोगों के विकास के लिए हमने कई अहम कदम उठाए हैं।

जिन क्षेत्रों में 10 प्रतिशत से अधिक लोग हिन्दी भाषा में बात करते हैं, वहाँ हिन्दी को सरकारी भाषा का दर्जा दिया गया है। हमने संथाली, कुरुख, कुड़माली, नेपाली, उर्दू, राजवंशी, कामतापुरी, उड़िया, पंजाबी, तेलगु भाषाओं को भी सरकारी भाषा के रूप में मान्यता दी है। सादरी भाषा के विकास के लिए भी हम प्रयासरत हैं।

हिन्दी भाषा के विकास के लिए हिन्दी अकादमी का गठन किया गया है।

शिक्षा के क्षेत्र की बात करें तो हावड़ा में हिन्दी विश्वविद्यालय की स्थापना की गई है। बानारहाट और नक्सलबाड़ी में हिन्दी माध्यम के डिग्री कॉलेज खोले गए हैं। इसके अलावा कई कॉलेजों में हिन्दी स्नातकोत्तर पाठ्यक्रम शुरू किए गए हैं। उच्च माध्यमिक के प्रश्नपत्र अब हिन्दी में भी उपलब्ध हैं। रवीन्द्र मुक्त विद्यालय के छात्र-छात्राएँ हिन्दी भाषा में माध्यमिक परीक्षा दे पा रहे हैं।

असंगठित क्षेत्र में कार्यरत हिन्दी भाषी लोगों सहित अन्य लोगों के लिए निःशुल्क सामाजिक सुरक्षा योजनाएँ शुरू की गई हैं।

गंगासागर मेले के मद्देनज़र उस क्षेत्र में उत्कृष्ट आधारभूत संरचना विकसित की गई है।

हिन्दी भाषी समुदाय की भावनाओं का सम्मान करते हुए, राज्य सरकार ने छठ पूजा के उपलक्ष्य में दो दिन की सरकारी छुट्टी की घोषणा की है।

আজ হিন্দি দিবস। এই উপলক্ষে আমি আমার সকল হিন্দিভাষী ভাই-বোনকে জানাই আমার আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা। প্রতিবছরই আমরা শ্রদ্ধার সঙ্গে হিন্দি দিবস পালন করি। আমরা সব ভাষার প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাশীল।

এ প্রসঙ্গে বলি, ২০১১ সালের পরে রাজ্যের হিন্দিভাষী মানুষদের উন্নয়নে আমরা একাধিক পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করেছি।

যেসব অঞ্চলে ১০%-এরও বেশি মানুষ হিন্দি ভাষায় কথা বলেন সেখানে হিন্দিকে সরকারি ভাষা রূপে ব্যবহার করার সুবিধা দেওয়া হয়েছে। আমাদের সময়ে সাঁওতালী, কুরুখ, কুড়মালী, নেপালী, উর্দু, রাজবংশী, কামতাপুরী, ওড়িয়া, পাঞ্জাবী, তেলুগু ভাষাকেও আমরা সরকারী ভাষা হিসাবে স্বীকৃতি দিয়েছি। সাদরি ভাষার মানোন্নয়নেও আমরা সচেষ্ট হয়েছি।

হিন্দি ভাষাকে শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে হিন্দি একাডেমী তৈরী করেছি।

শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে হাওড়াতে হয়েছে হিন্দি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। বানারহাট, নক্সালবাড়িতে হিন্দি-মাধ্যম ডিগ্রি কলেজ করা হয়েছে। এছাড়া, বেশ কিছু কলেজে হিন্দি পোস্ট গ্র্যাজুয়েট পাঠ্যক্রম চালু করা হয়েছে। উচ্চ মাধ্যমিকের প্রশ্নপত্র এখন হিন্দিতেও হচ্ছে। রবীন্দ্র মুক্ত বিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা হিন্দি ভাষায় মাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষা দিতে পারছেন।

অসংগঠিত ক্ষেত্রে কর্মরত হিন্দিভাষী মানুষজন সহ অন্যান্যদের জন্য বিনামূল্যে সামাজিক সুরক্ষা প্রকল্প চালু করা হয়েছে।

গঙ্গাসাগর মেলা উপলক্ষে ঐ অঞ্চলে উৎকৃষ্ট পরিকাঠামো গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।

সকলকে আর একবার হিন্দি দিবস-এর অভিনন্দন জানাই।

মহান স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামী, বিপ্লবী যতীন দাস-এর আজকে প্রয়াণ বার্ষিকী। আমি তাঁকে আমার প্রণাম জানাই।

ব্রিটিশ শাসনের বিরুদ্ধে ৬৩ দিন অনশন করার পর ১৯২৯ সালের ১৩ সেপ্টেম্বর খুব অল্প বয়সে তিনি জেলের মধ্যে মারা যান। দেশের স্বাধীনতার জন্য তাঁর এই আত্মত্যাগ ভারতের স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামের ইতিহাসে তাঁকে চিরস্মরণীয় করে রেখেছে।

আমি সবসময় মনে করি, বাংলা ছাড়া এই দেশ স্বাধীন হতো না। ফাঁসির মঞ্চ থেকে আন্দামানের কারাগার পর্যন্ত সর্বত্র বাঙালিরাই সংখ্যাগুরু। দেশের স্বাধীনতার জন্য কী অমানুষিক কষ্ট বাংলার বীর বিপ্লবীরা সহ্য করে গেছেন তার জ্বলন্ত উদাহরণ শহীদ যতীন দাস।

এটা আমার গর্ব, স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামীদের স্মৃতি বিজড়িত ঐতিহাসিক আলিপুর জেলে আমাদের স্বাধীনতা আন্দোলনের গর্বের ইতিহাস তুলে ধরতে আমরা যে মিউজিয়াম করেছি তাতে শ্রদ্ধার সঙ্গে আমরা এই বীর বিপ্লবীকে স্মরণ করেছি। তাঁকে শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে কলকাতায় একটি মেট্রো স্টেশনেও তাঁর নাম জড়িয়ে নেওয়া আছে।

আমাদের বাংলার ঘরের মেয়ে, হাওড়ার বাসিন্দা কোয়েল বর আহমদাবাদে অনুষ্ঠিত ভারোত্তোলনের কমনওয়েলথ চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপে বিশ্বরেকর্ডের হ‍্যাটট্রিক করে জোড়া সোনা জিতে বাংলাকে গর্বিত করেছে। আমি ওকে আমার আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও ভালোবাসা জানাই।

ওর অভিভাবক, কোচ – সকলকে জানাই শুভেচ্ছা।

আগামীদিনে কোয়েল আরো ভালো খেলবে, অলিম্পিক্সে পদক জিতে বাংলার মুখ আরো উজ্জ্বল করবে, এই প্রত্যাশা আমি করি। ওর যে কোনো দরকারে রাজ্য সরকার ওর পাশে থাকবে।

.@BJP4India runs on an E² policy!

The first “E”, the @ECISVEEP is used as a weapon to strip citizens of their voting rights. If that fails, the second “E”, the @dir_ed, is unleashed as a political weapon.

As exposed by our Parliamentary Party Leader Shri @abhishekaitc, the 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill is not aimed at fighting corruption. Its sole purpose is to crush the Opposition. This is dictatorship in disguise.

Every time @narendramodi lands in Bengal, he parrots the same fairy tale: “thousands of crores sent, all swallowed up.”

Yet, he has conveniently ducked the one simple demand raised by Shri @abhishekaitc. A WHITE PAPER on fund allocation since 2021.

Because once the numbers are on paper, the balloon of lies will burst.

Allow me to be a little nostalgic today.

As the Railways Minister of India, I was fortunate in planning and sanctioning series of Metro Railway corridors in metropolitan Kolkata. I had drawn the blueprints, arranged the funds, initiated the works and ensured that the different ends of the city ( Joka, Garia, Airport, Sector V, etc) were connected by an intra- city Metro grid.

Later, as the Chief Minister of West Bengal, I had the additional privilege of taking part in execution of the projects. From the State, I arranged free land, paved roads, arranged rehabilitation of displaced people, removed impediments, and ensured all help in the execution of projects. Our chief secretaries successively held series of coordination meeting to ensure integration of execution agencies. My planning as Railways Minister got fulfilment in my participation in execution.

Expanding Metro infrastructure has been a long journey for me. Allow me some nostalgia today.

It is a groundbreaking public health initiative of Health and Family Welfare Department of GoWB, which has received global laurel now.

I congratulate our Health Department, doctors and others in the team for this great achievement!

The Calcutta High Court’s order today to restart MGNREGA in Bengal is a blow to the BJP’s politics of revenge.

Unable to accept the people’s mandate in 2021, the BANGLA BIRODHI BJP froze MGNREGA funds and choked off rural employment. This wasn’t governance - It was revenge and retribution.

The Court’s directive today to resume the scheme from August 1, 2025 is a step toward restoring justice.
We welcome it.

We made a promise to the people of Bengal - that we would fight for their rights with every ounce of strength in our bodies and we reaffirm our commitment to fight for Bengal against the ZAMINDARS in every forum, at every level.
