A new chapter for Karachi’s coastline begins.
The Public Interest Law Association of Pakistan and Hisaar Foundation have signed an MoU to restore Karachi’s coastal ecosystem.
Signed by Saad Amanullah Khan, Chairperson PILAP, and Simi Kamal, Chairperson Hisaar Foundation.
At PILAP’s Brewed Conversations, Saad Amanullah led an open exchange on rights, dialogue and everyday citizenship. The discussion moved beyond speeches, with reflections on public issues and a look ahead to mapping the path of clean water and civic action.
PILAP hosted an awareness session at Islamia College University, Peshawar, led by Noor Mohammed and Saad Amaanullah Khan. The session focused on understanding rights and how students can engage with issues that shape public life.
We are grateful to Faisal Bari, Sameer Noorani, Sahar Bandial, Maryam S. Khan, Sadaffe Abid, Yasser Bashir and Mehmal Sarfaraz for being part of the discussion.
We gathered a small group over breakfast from across research, academia, tech, legal and media. The conversation centred on how to strengthen constitutional rights in Pakistan, drawing on perspectives from across these sectors.
As PILAP moves forward with Vision 2028, one thing is clear, change does not happen in silos. PILAP and WWF have signed an MoU, bringing together efforts on rights advocacy and environmental justice. Because when institutions work together, impact grows.
We’re grateful for the overwhelming response in Lahore. The room was full, the coffee was warm, and the conversation was much needed. We came together to reflect on rights, accountability and what it means to understand and claim them. Thank you for showing up.
