On this Thanksgiving holiday, Pilgrim Hall Museum, a 201-year-old institution in downtown Plymouth, Massachusetts, is dishing out early Plymouth history all day today until our doors close at 4:30 pm!
Colonial epitaphs are texts and maybe in their own way a little like texting - a certain disregard for spelling, punctuation, an attitude towards punctuation….can’t wait to learn more during Anne Mason’s free history tour “18th-century Epitaphs on Burial Hill,” Sept 6th at 1 pm!
It’s a banner day at Pilgrim Hall! - our front columns celebrate our ongoing summer Embarkation conservation project and the gorgeous Midsummer Night’s Dream themed handcrafted art that just went up as part of Plymouth Bay Cultural District’s Yarn Pop!
What were political divisions like in Plymouth 250 years ago? Join Dr. Patrick Browne for “Patriots and Loyalists” Burial Hill tour, 1pm on June 7th - part of our free public “Revolutionary Connections” series presented by the Plymouth Antiquarian Society and Pilgrim Hall Museum.
Today’s free public Burial Hill tour will be a mini version due to snowy conditions preventing full access to the historic site. Meet 1 pm at the brick Powder House at South Russell Street entrance for mini tour and hot chocolate!

@PlyIndependent Thank you for sharing our story, @PlyIndependent. We sure do have our hands full but it's an exciting time as we celebrate 200 years of Pilgrim Hall and undergo this historic restoration. Here's to the next 200 years!
Happy #MayflowerDay! On September 16, 1620, the Mayflower set sail from Plymouth, England. Visit Pilgrim Hall Museum, "America's Museum of Pilgrim Possessions", to see a beautiful model of this historic vessel during our 200th anniversary year.

What’s happening at #PilgrimHall this fine morning? Keep your eyes on our front portico...scaffolding for our restoration project is going up! And yes, we will still be open to the public for our regularly scheduled hours, Wednesday thru Sunday to early December!!

This artwork has been on public display for 200 years! Visitors may get a peek at the work as it continues this week. Pilgrim Hall Museum is open Wed-Sun, 9:30 am
to 5pm, last admission at 4:30 pm.
Ever wonder what goes on when we are closed to the public? Today we are building an enclosure to protect Henry Sargent’s monumental painting, The Landing of the Pilgrims, during our major building restoration beginning this month. #art#Pilgrims#museum#artrestoration
