Annihilationism reduces life to existence. Our hope is not that we will keep existing forever! That is absurd! Bare existence is not life according to Scripture. Suicide is a thing because many people desire to end their existence. Because existence alienated from God is futile.

Our hope is life: fellowship with Christ, partaking of His righteousness, participation in His kingdom purposes. That is life! Christ came to bring life, not mere existence. And He brought life that is more abundant than what Adam forfeited in the Garden!
