@Dohsk_ Howdy, nice to meet you! You can check out the Drop Command demo if you're a fan of old school first person Mech combat with 4x empire building! https://t.co/JESMOQMrai
VTOL squadrons duking it out in Drop Command! Featuring the new Fire Viper attack helicopter vs the smaller Opifex scout on planet Lagash. If you want 1st person Mech combat, combined arms, and strategy, play the #SteamDemo today! #wishlistwednesday#indiegamedev
So close! I think we might hit 3000 before Steam Next Fest. Very grateful for everyone who has been showing support for us and for Drop Command #indiegamedev#indiegames
Exciting moment with three procedural factions interacting: Voice of Inanna government hires the Aegis for Conor mercenary company to deal with the pirate menace. One bloody skirmish later, pirates have disbanded, survivors off to find new hunting grounds #gamedev#indiegames
@Delta5O5 Thanks so much! We're having a ton of fun building the game, and trying to keep to the low poly visuals has been a bit difficult but worth it. I think doing high poly first helps Ben to use as few polygons as possible to capture the same feel as the high poly versions
@Delta5O5 Ben often starts by sketching thumbnails to explore the design space (like below). He chooses features from the thumbnails to sketch a first draft. Then he creates a high poly model, and once he's happy with it he blocks out the low poly version and sends it to me to put in-game
New splash art for the Drop Command loading scenes! A mercenary company maintenance facility on the pirate dominated moon of Martu. #gameart#indiegamedev#screenshotsaturday
@Chavenham That's awesome! You should check out Drop Command. We are a small team of brothers working on a passion project- huge Mech battles commanded from the cockpit, with 4x empire building to boot: https://t.co/cuy69105SP
Fire Viper is now pilot-able! Still got some quirks to work out, but it is a fully functional unit now. This variant is a gunboat with ballistic cannons, but we may need a solid missileboat variant as well #gamedev#indiegames#mechgame
Making progress adding mercenary companies to Drop Command. Still a lot of work left to get them functional, but I am pretty happy with how much extra life they bring to the star cluster. #indiegames#indiegamedev
Thanks for all the feedback! The overwhelming favourite was B, and modelling is now underway. The big chin cannon also saw a lot of love, but won't make into this chassis. #gamedev#indiegamedev
Heavy beachhead on planet Tahsis! Gotta take out the orbital cannon before enemy units swarm us under. With the heavy cannon out of the picture, we can drop in our reinforcements! #indiegamedev#indiegames
We're gearing up to make many, many more planets for Drop Command, here's a sample of the new ones! Which do you think should have 'nightmare fauna'? #indiegames#indiegamedev
Shots of the high poly Opifex (made for illustrations, etc). Next will be the high poly attack helicopter! Drop Command is a low poly game aiming for that 90s MechWarrior aesthetic, but we make high fidelity versions too. #gameart#conceptart#gamedev
