I made a ko-fi! I put my content out there for everyone to enjoy freely, but I'm super grateful to anyone that wants to support me and what I do!

Overall, I liked what I saw. I hope there will be a demo in the coming months that we can play up until release. I'd love to practice more with Horn and try out Greatsword and Charge Blade.
Character creation was great. Lots of customization as previous titles, with the added bonus of no gender-locked clothing. The menu was slightly less straightforward than before, but not unbearably so. Palico creation felt a bit shallower than Rise, but I'm not sure.
I put the graphics settings on Ultra to test them, and it ran pretty well. I think I'll lower them a bit for better performance, as a couple times seemed less smooth than I'd like.
Once the game put me into a public lobby, I got a big rush of nostalgia for World. People were everywhere! Doing their own thing, chatting, running around. It was great.
In the final minutes of the beta, everyone sent See You Later!s Nice to Meet You!s, which was heartwarming.
I didn't mess with the weapon-swapping as I wanted to focus on HH, but it looks cool. The Palociraptor seems way more responsive than Palamuts which is GREAT.
The weather shifting so dramatically was super cool to see, but I blinked and it turned back. I wish it were a little more gradual, just so you could appreciate it more. It's already stark enough a contrast; slowing it down a little would be fine.
I like that there were pack members you had to separate from the alpha. That was very cool to deal with! At least until the dung bombs were so big I couldn't not hit the alpha too. Hopefully there will be more methods of separating packs.
That said it was only 18 minutes, including me figuring out controls and fixing the control settings a bit. Which doesn't seem much longer than Rise hunts, but Rise also spent some time prepping with birbs and wildlife, so the actual hunt felt shorter? Maybe with practice/gear..?
The post-story hunt I did felt really slow. Not like World slow, where you had to collect footprints and sheddings first, then track it down, then fight it, then follow it... That stuff I liked. This hunt just felt like it slogged on and on 2 or 3 times as long as needed.
I like the return of the slinger, especially letting you collect stuff on the run while riding your Palociraptor (I will not call it anything else). Getting to use it to tear down rocks on top of the monster or stuff like that is wonderful to see again.
Phantom note swing is back! Which is amazing... except for the fact it replaces perhaps RiseHH's most used attack that lets you turn around, which this doesn't. So I whiffed many attacks facing the wrong way, but at least I got a bonus note for free!
The song bubble was neat but a little finicky. It's also kinda small, but you can put up a few so that's fine I guess? It uses the same button as Roll and Perform, so I frequently wound up using one of those. Probably just needs practice. You get to spam notes then, which is nice
Default HH (Hope Horn) has Attack Up and Fire Resist songs, both of which increase with Encore. I'm all for more specific songs and degrees of them. Each horn has its own bubble effect it seems, which is a cool bit of variety.
I LOVED that Rise had such a quick Perform. And while it's probably faster than World's, I still get impatient waiting for the second or third song.
HOWEVER getting Encore back AND having it be a one-swing attack is great.
Slow songs, quick double-up-songs. Alright.
