This is by no means an account for extensive research or the "real" field study of ravens. This is me feeding birds on my lunch breaks at work or on my days off lol. I have become somewhat obsessed and I wanted to put all my raven-thoughts and experiments in one place.
There was nowhere we could take it, especially on Labor Day and at 6pm and I couldn't take it home. Hopefully its absence means it got the strength to fly away and it's feeling better now!
Saw a pigeon that was acting lethargic and not flying while I was getting food. I literally stepped out of the car at a drive-thru and was able to grab it. We left it at a park with other pigeons and birds and lots of shade and water. It was gone when we checked on it again.
Was able to feed some juveniles today. They've always been picky about shelled peanuts but today I had some success. Also today marks the first time I did my raven call for this area and a raven recognized it and flew to me!
Saw a raven with some food in its mouth and I was driving by and did my little raven call to it. I startled it by accident and it dropped its food and gave me a confused look lol. Sorry friend 🙏
