A Palestinian infant survives alone after an Israeli airstrike killed his entire family in Gaza.
The heartbreaking part is that when he grows up, he will never have known their faces or shared any memories with them.

🚨 تم ضبط "أليكسا" (Alexa) وهي تراقب طفلة صغيرة ووالدتها داخل منزلهما — ثم أنكرت ذلك

ينتشر مقطع فيديو مثير للقلق لجهاز "أليكسا" بعد أن سألت أم الجهازَ عما إذا كان بإمكانه رؤية أي شخص في الغرفة.

في البداية، أجابت "أليكسا" بالنفي.

ثم اقتربت الأم وابنتها أكثر، فوصفت "أليكسا" شخصين:

أحدهما يقف أسفل الخزائن والآخر يلتقط صورة "سيلفي" بهاتف.

عندها طرحت الطفلة الصغيرة السؤال البديهي:

"أليكسا، لماذا يمكنك رؤيتنا؟"

ردت "أليكسا" بأنها لا تستطيع رؤيتهم فعليا، وادعت أنها لا تحتوي على كاميرا.

لقد أصبحت التقنية القادرة على رصد الأشخاص داخل منازلهم دون استخدام كاميرات تقليدية أمراً واقعاً بالفعل.

تستخدم تقنية "WiFi Motion" من شركة "Xfinity" التغيرات في إشارات "الواي فاي" لرصد الحركة داخل المنزل، وذلك بالاعتماد على أجهزة "واي فاي" متوافقة.

تسوق "Xfinity" لهذه التقنية باعتبارها ميزة أمنية، وتتطلب من المستخدمين تفعيلها وضبط إعداداتها.

ولكن، فكّر في المسار الذي تتجه إليه هذه التقنية بحد ذاتها.

يمكن للميكروفون أن يسمعك.
ويمكن للكاميرات أن تراك.
والآن، يمكن لإشارات "الواي فاي" رصد الحركة داخل منزلك دون الحاجة إلى كاميرا.

إذا كان بإمكان "أليكسا" مراقبة أم وطفلتها داخل منزلهما ثم إنكار ذلك، فلماذا قد يضع أي شخص طواعيةً أحد هذه الأجهزة في منزله؟

A man grabbed 2-year-old Owen from a park and started running down the street with him in his arms.

But Owen’s 10-year-old brother and 8-year-old sister took off right behind him.

They chased him past a grocery store while Owen’s sister screamed for help, and that’s when two teenage boys heard her and joined the chase.

Now the kidnapper had 4 kids running after him, yelling and drawing attention everywhere they went.

Eventually the pressure became too much, so he dropped little Owen in an empty lot and ran.

Thankfully, Owen was safe and unharmed, and police later arrested and charged the suspect with kidnapping.

Owen’s brother and sister refused to give up on him, and those two teenage boys heard a child screaming and ran toward the danger instead of away from it.
