Harlem, Manhattan (1963/4). Over 200 buildings in Harlem, the Lower East Side, the Bronx, and Bed-Stuy engaged in a rent strike to protest horrible living conditions and rat infestations. Harlemite Jesse Gray, the organizer, speaks on the strike.
