On this, the 18th Anniversary of 9/11, I wanted to share what is one of my favorite stories of all-time, from @coachbillcurry. It directly ties into 9/11, football, and the importance the sport plays in helping people unify throughout the United States in the wake of tragedy.
@wstrayho@albhood I’ve seen that but was curious how people watched that while also watching the big screen. Seems you’d need to watch one or the other and you can’t see when they shoot on the ice dots.
@steven_24CleUnc@NicoleAuerbach That says more about those fans than it does Rick Barnes. Dean asked him to write the Foreword to his book "A Coach's Life" in 2002, so any grudge held by a fan is certainly wasted energy.
@AHeels8@NicoleAuerbach@MattNorlander Dean didn't hold the grudge very long. He wrote the Foreword to Dean's book "A Coach's Life" in 2002. You should also read this...

@MikeAsti11@bigdtarheel And it was as true then as it is now. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it true. It’s just as true that it should be a factor in UNC’s seeding this year, as well. We’re trying to identify a National Champion. Not handing out regular season participation awards.
@golfweek@eamonlynch Officer, I’d like to report a murder by @eamonlynch…
“There must scarcely be a splinter of wood remaining in Jon Rahm’s Scottsdale neighborhood, given the frequency with which he fashions crosses to which he might nail himself.”

@deepdivegolf@JosephLaMagna I’ve always thought they should play the Australian Open in California to reduce the travel burden on American players and incentivize them to play. Foster’s on tap and Outback catering in the player’s lounge.
🚨BREAKING: Brown University student Alex Shieh previously EVISCERATED the school's administrators for having a $46 million deficit, despite surging costs for students.
They pay $90K+ PER YEAR.
Alex Shieh: "What about the kids who weren't born on third base?! [...] Brown is on track to run a $46 million DEFICIT this year. WHERE is all the money going?"
"I'll tell you where it's going. It's going into an empire of administrative bloat and bureaucracy! Brown employs 3,805 full time non-instructional staff for just 7,229 undergrads. That's one administrator for every two students."
"This isn't education. This is bloat paid for on the backs of students and families who are mortgaging their futures for a shot at a better life!"
Do you firmly support Alex Shieh on this?
A. Huge Yes
B. No
IF Yes, Give me a THUMBS-UP👍!!

@Kingche2@RedEagleUpdates If you disagree you believe that the mission of a University should be to provide unnecessary jobs funded by the families of students, or worse, federally-backed student loans.
@mchappell51 What was your logic for voting for Kraft over Belichick? You seem to think that’s a point in your defense, when it really just undermines your credibility even further.
@daringantt I’m old enough to remember when being a sports journalist was a respected profession held in high regard.
When the integrity and competency of journalists has withered away to nothing, this is what remains.
You weren’t the cause of the problem, but you are the byproduct of it
@LouStagner It’s no different than when a guy thinks he “catches” a ball and screams for a replay that inevitably confirms it hit the ground before he had full control.
@LouStagner Because mentally, it feels the same as it does when you’re playing backyard football at 7 years-old. You don’t have the ball, so you feel like it’s not a catch. You’re not thinking about the catch calculations that ten guys in the league office are discussing.
