Author & Illustrator @SophieBlackall will virtually visit with DCSD participating schools on 11/8 to discuss her book If You Come to Earth. DCSD is celebrating the 2nd annual One Book One District program. Contact your school librarian or the @dcsdDLMC for more info. #OneBookDCSD
If @DCSDK12 were to pass a $60M MLO & a $450M Bond, it would cost taxpayers $1 per week per $100K of assessed home value. For example, a Douglas County resident with a home valued at $500K would pay approx. an additional $250 per year if both measures are approved. #myDCSD
@DCSDK12 avg. teacher salary is over $18K less than Cherry Creek & nearly $11K less than Littleton Public Schools, making it difficult for us to compete for high quality teachers & staff. If passed, MLO funds would be used to provide pay that is more competitive. #myDCSD
Funding Needs in DCSD are real! Hiring has become a year-long effort at Pine Lane to ensure we have support for our students. The proposed pay changes will help us recruit and retain our amazing staff.
