I made it safe and sound,
Thrills and dangers all around.
All I can say is wow!

You bring clouds,
When I bloom,
You find the imperfections,
When I soar,
You shoot me down.

Just beginning,
Hopeful, promising,
Everyday something new,
Delights my heart,
Care and patience,
Cultivating life,
Giving me purpose,
The final result,
Filling my soul.

I'm not alright.
My head is spinning,
Fear is winning,
Muscles tighten,
Pupils widen,
In my head,
Full of dread,
Nowhere to run,
I am undone,
So here I’ll sit,
Until I’m fit,
To face the day,
And be okay.
