SoCon Fast Break insight...
@CitadelHoops wins for the first time in Chattanooga since 2012 while climbing to 6-6 in @SoConSports play. Two questions:
Are we seeing a program redefine itself in real time—and are you not entertained?
After nearly 14 years to the day, the Roundhouse hex over the Bulldogs is over. This wasn’t a fluke—it was a wire-to-wire battle in which the Bulldogs led for over 32 minutes, effectively neutralizing the momentum the Mocs thought they had built on Thursday.
Braxton Williams and Sola Adebisi were absolute warriors, both pouring in 18 points to lead the charge. Williams set the tone early with a pair of triples, and Adebisi provided the game’s emotional turning point with a massive dunk at the 8:36 mark that gave the Bulldogs control they never relinquished.
Carter Kingsbury remains the most consistent force for @CoachEdConroy, finishing with 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting. This was his eighth game this season shooting 50% or better from the field, and his three steals were critical in disrupting a Mocs offense that looked out of sync most of the night.
While both teams hit nine triples apiece, the game was won inside the arc. The Citadel was surgical on two-point attempts, shooting a staggering 68.9% (20-of-29) from two-point range. By forcing defenders to stay attached to their shooters, they created wide-open driving lanes that they exploited with precision.
Jordan Frison was the only real spark for Chattanooga, exploding for a game-high 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting. He willed the Mocs back into it, even taking a brief 54-53 lead, but without consistent defensive help or secondary scoring, his sixth 20-point effort of the year wasn’t enough.
Inconsistency remains the Mocs’ nemesis. Despite winning the rebounding battle (+2), they turned it over 12 times, leading to 16 points for the opposition and too many high-percentage shots they couldn’t match. The Bulldogs have officially arrived as a threat in this league—this is a complete culture shift and a tactical masterclass in physical resilience. Their physical, gutty identity looks to be the real deal.
Next Up: February 11th, with Chattanooga traveling to ETSU and The Citadel on the road again at WCU.

The Democrat Government Shutdown is doing real harm to the American people. While Democrats continue to celebrate suffering, they demand $1.5 TRILLION in new partisan spending to end it.
Here’s what they want👇
• $200B for FREE health care for ILLEGAL ALIENS
• ENDING work requirements for able-bodied young men on Medicaid
• CUTTING $50B from rural hospitals
• RESTORING $500M for Leftist Media Outlets.
• Sending $5 billion OVERSEAS for “climate resilience,” “feminist organizing” & “LGBTQI+ Democracy Grants”
An UNSERIOUS proposal from UNSERIOUS people — that causes SERIOUS harm to the American people. Republicans will NOT let this happen.
