We already have two separate rarity indexes. Reducing everything into a single ranking feels too ambitious, and communities usually don’t react well to radical changes.
The actual benefit of such a change is debatable. But the downside is clear: some people may become unhappy and leave, or batch farmers may somehow end up at the top of the new ranking system again.
Sometimes doing nothing is the best option, because we already have something that works. The current rarity index system seems to be accepted by the community at this point.
When I look at the benefit/impact analysis, I personally don’t think this kind of change would be advantageous.
Note: these are completely my personal thoughts, and I could be wrong.
@Parafinas1@unipegv4 I completely agree... ranks are extremely important for NFT players, and considering they already existed, removing them wouldn't be a progressive step...
@unipegv4 People bought NFTs based on their visual score / age score rankings... and I did too. Removing these now will reduce the value of the NFTs we already hold. Peg2Peg is the only place where we can check these scores, so please don’t remove them.
Let the market decide.
You could deploy a contract that allows people to reroll directly into the NFT they want.
That could make the reroll phase fairer for everyone.
This way, the only true rarity would be the NFTs that were minted early.
It would also help people understand that there isn’t an exploit here... this is simply how the mechanism works.
Fudders gonna FUD.
Early-minted NFTs are the real rares… Visual traits can change, meaning today’s visual rares can become common over time, and today’s visual commons can become rare.
What else did you expect from a mechanism where traits are dynamic?
Keep building. We’re here.

@sezorock Çizimler dinamik bir şekilde onchain olarak değişebildiğinden unicornların arzı unicorn olmayanlar ile aynı sayılır. Bu sebeple sadece unicornlar için bir arz şoku etkisinden bahsedemeyiz.
