To nie błąd projektanta ani przypadek – to wyjątkowy gest pełen szacunku, który porusza serce każdego Polaka. W 1802 roku Napoleon wysłał kilka tysięcy żołnierzy z Polskich Legionów na San Domingo (obecne Haiti), żeby zdławić tamtejsze powstanie niewolników. Polacy jednak wybrali inną drogę. Zamiast walczyć przeciwko walczącym o wolność, wielu z nich przeszło na stronę powstańców i stanęło do walki ramię w ramię z Haitańczykami przeciwko wojskom francuskim. Po zwycięstwie rewolucji i ogłoszeniu niepodległości w 1804 roku, pierwszy przywódca Haiti – Jean-Jacques Dessalines – oddał Polakom wielki hołd. Przyznał im pełne obywatelstwo, a w konstytucji nazwał ich „Białymi Murzynami Europy”. Były to słowa najwyższego uznania i braterstwa w tamtych czasach. Część polskich żołnierzy (ok. 400–500) została na wyspie na stałe, głównie w regionie Cazale, gdzie ich potomkowie mieszkają do dzisiaj. Dziś, ponad dwieście lat później, pamięć o polskiej odwadze i solidarności wciąż żyje na Haiti. Kiedy ich piłkarze wychodzą na murawę, niosą na piersi symbol naszej wspólnej historii – historii walki o wolność, która nie zna granic ani koloru skóry.

No hay duda: ciertos grupos de la extrema derecha en México se están aprovechando de luchas legítimas de miles de mexicanas y mexicanos para provocar movilizaciones agresivas, violentas y claramente orientadas a debilitar al gobierno del Pueblo.

Y esto no ocurre por casualidad. Responde a algo muy puntual: en los últimos años perdieron privilegios que durante décadas les garantizaron los gobiernos del PRIAN.

Perdieron contratos millonarios entregados de manera directa. Perdieron condonaciones de impuestos. Perdieron el control de las instituciones. Perdieron la posibilidad de seguir saqueando al país como si México fuera una hacienda privada al servicio de unos cuantos.

Por eso hoy intentan montarse en causas legítimas como la lucha de la CNTE, de las madres buscadoras y de otros movimientos sociales. No les interesa resolver sus demandas. No les interesa hacer justicia. Lo único que buscan es utilizarlas como herramienta política para golpear a un gobierno que ya no se arrodilla ante los mismos grupos de siempre.

Las causas del pueblo deben ser escuchadas y atendidas, pero no pueden ser secuestradas por quienes nunca defendieron al pueblo cuando tenían el poder. Esa es la gran hipocresía de la derecha: hoy se disfrazan de aliados de las luchas sociales, cuando durante años fueron los responsables de ignorarlas, reprimirlas y abandonarlas.
