Even if Subaru managed to sneak in a weapon, and somehow managed to surprise a Julius who was so much stronger he could see through his shamak, Julius would just heal with his water spirits.

They both have wooden weapons here and Julius was able to survive multiple hits from Reid without his spirits. At least with Elsa she has “human” durability with insane regeneration, but-
