No. Surprise, surprise: the charges are from when he was a YOUTH PASTOR. Worse, his new church KNEW he'd abused church kids, but STILL hired him.

Insanely, hiring him is LEGAL, because while typically North Carolina sex offenders must stay 300 feet away from kids, according to local WSOC-TV, there's an exception in their law that allows it.

The reason for the exception: everyone has the right to practice their religion.

How crazy is this?

I'm sure now the Republican-controlled legislature, and ALL right-wing Christian governors like Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis will come to Jesus –prioritize laws that ban churches from hiring sex offenders.
